We at INTSA are proud to announce that we have signed an important contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Fjord1. This agreement marks a significant advancement in the use of our unique technology for maritime safety, and underscores our position as the sole provider of such an advanced solution.
Detection system for automated ferries in Sognefjorden
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has awarded us a contract to deliver our detection system ProEye DTR® to Fjord1's ferry connection Lavik–Oppedal. The agreement is valid from 2026 to 2034, with the possibility of a three-year extension.
“The project is considered a new step towards increased automation in the maritime sector. The transferable value to other parts of the maritime industry could be significant in the long term,” writes the Norwegian Public Roads Administration in its announcement.
A partnership for the future
We look forward to continuing our work developing and implementing technology that makes a real difference. INTSA is dedicated to innovation and quality, and this agreement marks only the beginning of our long-term commitment to improving safety in Norway and abroad.
